The doorway into the Bayeux Cathedral, a medieval church in France, is seen in bright red selective colour.
Also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of Bayeux (or Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux in its native French language), it is a Roman Catholic church in the town of Bayeux in Normandy, France. The national monument is the seat of the Bishop of Bayeux and Lisieux; many historians agree that it was also the original home of the famous Bayeux Tapestry, which is still housed nearby in a dedicated museum.
