Attacked by a Bloody Metal Bird Kids T-Shirt

The Terminators have evolved into giant metal birds! We're under attack! One of them looks down on me hungrily as it chomps on a severed leg.

Hopefully it's clear that this is a Photoshop composite. This started from a photo taken at Primitive Designs in Port Hope, Ontario on a recent road trip I did; I had stopped there to see a giant statue they made of the transformer Optimus Prime, but I found that they had lots of other interesting sculptures as well. The original photo was taken outside on a very bright and sunny day. To construct this, I masked out the sculpture, darkened it and reddened it, added a textured background and a blood border, added the severed leg, and added the blood spatter on its heart, each of its wings, its beak, and inside its mouth.

Hi, everybody! Toronto-based photographer here, having lived in this city all my life. It's a great place if you like large, busy cities, but I prefer smaller places. Anyway, although my education and work experience has been primarily in math and computer programming and similar subjects, my passions lie elsewhere. Don't get me wrong - if there's a particular problem I'm trying to program a solution to or some menial task that I'm trying to automate, my head gets really into it trying to figure it out, but that's just what I do to pay the bills.
